Full Time Early Childhood Educator Sts'ailes Early Education Centre The Sts'ailes Early Education Centre is seeking an Early Childhood Educator who will contribute positively to the work of preparing our infants, toddlers and preschool children to learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. Sts'ailes is a First Nation community, located on the Harrison River near Agassiz, BC.
Core responsibilities:
• Provide quality childcare, carry out developmentally and age appropriate educational activities to engage children and foster their development.
• Use positive guidance and a growth perspective to support children in resolving conflicts and in disciplinary approach.
• Function as a member of our cohesive, positive, flexible and exuberant team, which includes staff, management, parents and community members.
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification and licence to practice.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check.
• Own transportation.
Assets
• Previous experience in a similar capacity, supervising and working with children; experience developing and delivering learning activities.
• Previous experience working in a First Nations community.
• Food Safe certification.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary
ECEs start at $24/hour (approximately $49,920 annually), plus an additional $6/hour wage enhancement. Pay is based on experience and qualifications, with higher rates for those holding Infant & Toddler certification.
