AceKids Daycare is a family-oriented childcare centre in Colwood Corners, Victoria, BC. We provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age 5, with a focus on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive.
We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Director to lead our centre. This is a key leadership role overseeing daily operations, compliance, staff, and family relationships while fostering a positive, collaborative culture. You will also be supported by a Daycare Office Administrator, allowing you to focus on leadership, quality of care, and family engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the centre and compliance with BC Child Care Licensing Regulations.
- Build trusting relationships with parents and guardians, conduct tours, and ensure smooth family onboarding.
- Support curriculum planning and ensure age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences.
- Hire, train, and mentor staff while fostering teamwork and professional growth.
- Support marketing and enrollment efforts to maintain a vibrant, full centre.
- Maintain operational budgets, records for licensing and ensure timely government reporting.
- Step into classrooms when needed to maintain ratios, support educators and model high quality care.
- Communicate effectively with ownership regarding operations, concerns, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Other: Valid ECE or ECE-IT certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of BC childcare regulations.
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with funding programs (CCOF, EWE, ACCB) an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: $35 – $40 per hour (includes wage enhancement)
