Job Posting: Early Childhood Educator
Reports To: Director of Operations
Overview: We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to deliver high-quality, inclusive childcare services for young children in a group setting, guided by the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that cater to children's diverse needs.
- Maintain a balanced schedule of active, quiet, indoor, outdoor, and group activities.
- Organize materials and adapt the environment as needed.
- Facilitate children's self-expression through active listening and engaging conversations.
- Utilize various teaching techniques to enhance learning and problem-solving skills.
- Foster cultural awareness and promote anti-racist and non-sexist interactions.
- Individualize the curriculum to ensure accessibility for all children.
- Monitor children's interactions and behaviors, providing positive guidance.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to licensing requirements and reporting incidents.
- Communicate effectively with parents/legal guardians about daily activities and family involvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the center's operations through attendance, confidentiality, and participation in meetings and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in child development.
- Valid Early Childhood Educator License (ECE or ECEA).
- Experience in childcare settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search.

- Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
